Took it along on a solo kayak trip and was surprised how loud it cuts through wind and splashing. The build feels solid enough to survive a few rough bumps against rocks, and it's small enough to clip onto my life vest without getting in the way. Exactly what I needed for peace of mind on the water.

Pulled it out of my pack during a sudden drizzle on a lakeside hike, and three sharp blows brought my buddy back from a hundred yards away. The build feels solid enough to survive being clipped to a kayak for years, and it's light enough that I forget it's there until I need it.

The sound cuts through wind like nothing I've tried before—my buddy heard it clearly from across the lake while we were fishing. It's small enough to clip on my pack and forget about until I need it, which is exactly what I want in an emergency gear piece.
