Tossed this in my bug-out bag along with a basic first aid kit, and the fact that it reflects 90% of body heat gives me real peace of mind for worst-case scenarios. The mylar foil feels sturdy enough to handle being folded and unfolded a few times without tearing.

Pulled it out of our first-aid kit during a chilly hike and that 90% heat reflection claim checks out, kept us warm when the temps dropped fast. The mylar foil crinkles like crazy, but honestly that's a small price for how compact and light it packs in my bug-out bag.

The crinkly Mylar unfolded easily in the dark, and even with just a light breeze, I could feel my own heat bouncing right back off the foil surface. It's thin enough to layer under a jacket, but it genuinely held in the warmth for the hour I tested it outside.
